Witness

EEAF is pleased to screen videos provided by Witness.

Witness uses video and on-line technologies to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations. We empower people to transform personal stories of abuse into powerful tools for justice, promoting public engagement and policy change. Now in its 15th year, Witness has partnered with human rights groups in over 70 countries training and supporting them to make video an effective tool in their campaigns, targeting courts, governments, decision-makers and publics to motivate, persuade, engage or shame them into action.

Witness envisions a just and equitable world where all individuals and communities are able to defend and uphold human rights.

To learn more about Witness, including the intensive Video Advocacy Institute training program and a participatory media website called the Hub which will launch this summer and will allow anyone around the world to upload relevant human rights video and organize action to make a difference, visit www.witness.org.
