Planting Trees
The Dobromysl Foundation aims to support planting trees in the wilderness and to help to replace
original forests that had been heavily cut down within the past.
We will be participating in the tree planting projects with Forestry
Commission. We will be addressing communities and youth centres as well as immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe.
With this project we want to
evolve the thinking process of the international group which has been happening thanks to the
expansion of the European Union by post-communist countries.
The project of tree planting supports:
- Let’s plant
a Tree for Peace
- Polish organization The Klub Gaja - Peace is one of the most precious of human values. We hear each day of the misfortunes
that befall people because of wars and acts of terrorism. Sometimes we think that we cannot do anything about it, but our
lives depend upon the attitude we adopt. That is why it is important that we, ourselves, make a simple gesture for peace.
We should also remember that peace on Earth depends on whether we are able to preserve our natural resources and
environment for future generations.
- Plant for the Planet:
Billion Tree Campaign - The Dobromysl Foundation is joining the project of UNEP United Nations Environmental
Program and supports their plan to coordinate planting trees all over the world.
- National Tree Week - Each
year, Tree Council member organizations such as voluntary bodies and local authorities, up to
200 schools and community groups, our 8,000 Tree Wardens and many others, support the initiative
by setting up fun, worthwhile and accessible events, inspiring upward of a quarter of a million
people to get their hands dirty and together plant around million trees.
- Tree O'Clock's -
As part of National Tree Week, Breathing Places and its partners encouraged people to plant trees in the
Tree O'Clock hour, between 11am and 12 noon on 5th December every year.
- Next project :
1. Nursery trees for Primary Schools, organisations and clubs
2. Fruits avenue
3. 1 000 000 milion trees for Angus hills
